Exclusive GST Calculator
A GST-exclusive price is the base amount before tax is added. This calculator adds GST to any exclusive amount and shows the tax and the final payable total, with the CGST/SGST or IGST split. You can also flip the mode to work from an inclusive total.
Formula
Exclusive → total: Total = Amount × (1 + Rate ÷ 100), and GST = Amount × Rate ÷ 100.
Example: ₹1,000 exclusive of 18% GST → GST ₹180, total ₹1,180 (CGST ₹90 + SGST ₹90 for an intra-state sale).
FAQ
What does GST-exclusive mean?
The base amount before tax. Multiply by (1 + rate/100) to get the total. ₹1,000 at 18% → total ₹1,180.
How is exclusive different from inclusive?
Exclusive adds GST on top of a base price; inclusive extracts GST already contained in a total.
