GST on medicines

Most medicines are taxed at 5% GST, some essential and life-saving drugs are nil-rated, and a limited set of products fall at higher rates. The tool auto-suggests a rate from the item name or HSN code and you can override it per line. The CGST/SGST vs IGST split is decided automatically from your state and the customer's place of supply. Always verify the current rate for each product before filing.
